About the Role
We are seeking a versatile Infographic Designer / Editor to join our team in Berlin. This role involves researching and visualizing data for daily news infographics and educational materials, as well as preparing complex topics for target audiences. You will collaborate closely with editors and designers, contributing both editorial and design perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Research data and content for daily news infographics and graphics for educational publishers, teachers, students, and trainees.
- Independently visualize data, from editorial concept to final graphic.
- Write short accompanying texts for graphics and prepare complex topics for target audiences.
- Collaborate closely with editors and designers, contributing both perspectives.
Requirements
- Very good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or Datawrapper.
- Good experience with Excel, databases, and statistics.
- Comfortable balancing editorial work and design implementation.
- Very good general knowledge.
- Strong analytical and creative skills.
- Ability to work well under time pressure.
- Willingness to learn new things and actively contribute to the team.
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken.
- Appreciation for the societal role of trustworthy news.
- Enjoyment of a healthy discussion culture.
