About the Role
This role offers growth potential, starting with hands-on testing and bug reporting, with opportunities for broader QA ownership over time. The Junior QA Tester will help maintain quality standards as the studio scales its biggest title yet, The Walking Dead: Aftermath.
Responsibilities
- Test new features, systems, and SDK integrations on The Walking Dead: Aftermath, primarily through manual and exploratory methods.
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports and assist in maintaining test cases and test plans.
- Support testing coordination within sprints under team guidance.
- Convert player-reported issues from Discord and Helpshift into actionable bug tickets, collaborating with the Community Manager.
- Support localization QA by verifying correct display of translated text in-game.
- Collaborate with development, design, and product teams to identify issues early and monitor build quality.
- Contribute a player's perspective to identify bugs and usability issues.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of manual and exploratory testing.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Genuine interest in mobile games, particularly roguelite or roguelike action games.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a team.
- Openness to utilizing AI tools in daily work.
- Willingness to learn tools like JIRA.
