About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to establish and drive modern quality practices across multiple engineering pods, building the automated foundation for rapid and secure development with AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the quality strategy across supported pods, covering unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, performance, and resilience testing.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and quality gates integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Review and validate AI-assisted development outputs, helping teams adopt effective quality practices.
  • Plan and execute non-functional testing aligned with DORA operational resilience expectations.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure specifications are clear, testable, and meet acceptance criteria.
  • Establish quality metrics, observability practices, and continuous improvement feedback loops.
  • Coach and support transferring bank engineers in adopting modern automation approaches.

Requirements

  • Strong background in test automation across the full testing lifecycle and modern test pyramid.
  • Hands-on experience with contemporary testing frameworks, CI/CD quality integration, and writing/maintaining test code.
  • Experience with scalability and resilience tools (such as k6 or similar).
  • Understanding of contract testing for distributed, API-driven, and event-based systems.
  • Awareness of regulatory, security, and operational resilience expectations within financial services is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
