About the Role
Ouihelp is tackling a significant societal challenge: enabling 2 million French citizens with reduced autonomy to live in the best possible conditions for as long as possible in their chosen home. By leveraging new technologies, we help families easily find personalized, high-quality home care solutions while enhancing the role of care assistants. Launched in 2016, Ouihelp has grown to over 500 employees, 10,000 care assistants, and 20,000 beneficiaries across 100 French cities. We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Senior Software Engineer to join our core team, driving strategic initiatives essential for accelerating our growth and the success of this human adventure.
Responsibilities
- Be the expert in your domain: elevate the team's level, maintain healthy tension with product, and embody change, leveraging AI for productivity and quality.

- Propose and lead strategic refactors with justified ROI.
- Be responsible as a lead for system stability, quality, and performance (SLOs, p95, bug rate, error rate) and proactively alert at the slightest degradation.
- Manage technical crises as an owner, including post-mortems.
- Mentor actively engineers in the team, particularly on AI and lean practices.
- Maintain healthy tension with product (debt, delivery, bugs, improvements) by challenging with data.
- Initiate and drive changes within the tribe, from initiative to adoption.
- Act as a sparring partner for management and contribute to recruitment.
- Evaluate and integrate AI tools into the stack (RAG, agents, MCP...).
- Define AI development workflow standards for the tribe.
- Deliver AI systems in production with defined quality metrics.
