About the Role

We are seeking a Test Engineer for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Test Automation to join our team. This role involves developing and setting up new HiL test environments for software testing on test frameworks, automating test processes, and continuously improving existing test environments.

Responsibilities

  • Development and setup of new Hardware-in-the-Loop test environments for software tests on test frameworks
  • Automation of test processes and continuous development of existing test environments
  • Conception and implementation of CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD
  • Integration of individual components and modules into complete radio devices
  • Error analysis and root cause analysis in collaboration with hardware and software teams
  • Definition of test cases, creation of test procedures, and evaluation of test results
  • Documentation of results in close coordination with development and test teams
  • Integration of measuring devices such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, or spectrum analyzers into test environments

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in hardware-related software development or in testing complex systems, e.g., microcontrollers, SoCs, or RF/radio technology
  • Knowledge of mobile communications, data transmission, networks, and the ISO/OSI reference model
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI/CD, and container technologies such as Docker or Podman
  • Good programming skills in C/C++ and experience with CMake
  • Proficient in Linux and version control systems like Git
  • Very good German and English language skills
  • Team-oriented, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
