About the Role
We are looking for a Test Engineer (m/f/d) for our client in the radio and communication industry to join our expert team at K-tronik. We are excited to get to know you and work together with passion and team spirit on exciting projects and future-oriented technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and build new hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test environments for the integration and testing of software.
- Continuously develop test frameworks for automating test procedures.
- Conceive and implement CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD.
- Integrate individual components and modules into complete radio communication devices in close coordination with hardware and software developers.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analyses together with hardware and software teams.
- Define test cases, create test procedures, and evaluate test results.
- Document results in close cooperation with hardware and software teams.
- Connect measuring instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, or spectrum analyzers to test environments and automate their use.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in hardware-related software development and testing complex systems (e.g., microcontrollers, SoCs, or RF/radio technology), ideally in a military or safety-critical environment.
- Sound knowledge in mobile communications, especially data transmission, networks, and the ISO/OSI reference model.
- Ideally, experience in test automation and the development of test frameworks.
- Sound experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker or Podman).
- Good programming skills in C/C++ and experience with CMake.
- Proficient in Linux and version control systems like Git.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Strong team and communication skills, as well as an independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
