About the Role
As Operations Lead at Augustus, you will own one of the core operational domains of the bank end-to-end, with operations organized around customer workflows. You will be responsible for processes, SOPs, KPIs, tooling, automations, and agents within your domain, aiming to build a 'dark bank' that runs mostly autonomously by designing systems that minimize work.
Responsibilities
- Own one of the core operational domains of the bank end-to-end.
- Manage processes, SOPs, KPIs, tooling, automations, and agents within your domain.
- Design systems to minimize operational work and automate flows.
- Set metrics to prove system effectiveness.
- Build agents to run the operational systems.
- Collaborate across Operations, Product, Engineering, and Compliance.
- Report directly to the COO.
- Perform manual work to understand process breakdowns in the first two months.
- Ship the first wave of automations and prove the operating model in months 3-4.
- Implement agents for hands-off long tail operations in months 5-6.
- Scale the system, not the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years building products or processes at a bank, fintech, payments, or crypto company, or tier-1 consulting with regulated financial services exposure.
- Shipped production automations or agents, not just proofs of concept.
- Willingness to relocate to New York.
