About the Role
As a Business Operations professional at Augustus, you will manage a core operational domain of the bank daily. Operations are structured around customer workflows, with each domain functioning like a product team. Your primary responsibility is to eliminate backlogs and queues by building systems that automate processes, aiming for a 'dark bank' model where operations run autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Manage core operational domains of the bank day-to-day.
- Run cases, reviews, and escalations within your assigned operational domain.
- Automate processes to eliminate queues and manual work.
- Document failure modes in existing processes.
- Translate learnings from manual work into rules, flows, and agents for automation.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to ship automated solutions.
- Take ownership of operational workflows and drive measurable improvements.
- Handle edge cases and build the next wave of automation.
Requirements
- Experience automating real-world work with AI tools.
- Willingness to perform manual work to understand processes deeply before automating.
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- Ability to work independently and close knowledge gaps without a formal training program.
- Commitment to the 'dark bank' operational model.
- Based in New York or willing to relocate.
