About the Role
As a Product Manager Legal Recovery, you will be responsible for one of the central products in our collection portfolio: judicial proceedings and enforcement. You will develop scalable, automated, and legally compliant solutions with interdisciplinary teams to support our collection strategy while accommodating the diverse life situations of our consumers. You will combine regulatory requirements and operational excellence in product development into a high-performing end-to-end product.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Judicial, aiming to balance consequence and consideration for different consumer and claim types.
- Design solutions for scaled business, considering the nuances of the debt collection world, including contact with collection courts, enforcement agencies, and other legal parties.
- Drive automation projects, understand legal concerns, and find successful solutions, ensuring data accuracy in highly automated processes.
- Connect business units, operations, and tech towards a common goal and create structures for teams to work autonomously and make decisions.
- Lead previously separate teams into a new overall area with a shared vision.
- Continuously monitor and optimize solution KPIs with your product team, incorporating external input and internal research.
- Monitor regulatory developments, technological trends, and new automation possibilities, integrating them into your product.
- Evaluate innovative approaches (e.g., AI, workflow automation) and integrate successful solutions into the product standard.
- Collaborate closely with other product teams, tech, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure clear priorities and aligned roadmaps.
- Identify user and stakeholder needs, validate hypotheses, and prioritize product development based on data.
Requirements
- Very good German and English skills (at least C1) in speaking and writing.
- Several years of experience (at least three years) in Product Management, ideally in debt collection, FinTech, B2B SaaS, or a comparable regulated environment.
- Interest in deeply understanding judicial dunning procedures and enforcement, and translating regulatory requirements into modern product solutions.
- Experience in building scalable and automated processes and a good understanding of modern automation, workflow, or AI solutions.
- Experience with data analysis and process mining tools (e.g., Celonis or comparable platforms).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate legal, economic, technical, and user-oriented requirements into a compelling product.
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, and enjoyment in actively driving change.
