About the Role

Analyze, detect, and disrupt global criminal scammer networks using cutting-edge technology. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration with internal teams and law enforcement counterparts to enhance platform safety.

Responsibilities

• Identify large networks of nefarious actors and activity using existing data.
• Provide regular, well-researched analysis on emerging trends to executive stakeholders and law enforcement.
• Offer technical and thought leadership in designing, prototyping, implementing, and automating complex analyses.
• Drive engagement with law enforcement and mitigation strategies using existing and new insights.
• Support the development of pipelines and data infrastructure for dashboards.
• Create analytic notebooks using AI to empower analysts with advanced capabilities.
• Conduct end-to-end analyses, including requirement gathering, data processing, modeling, and leadership communication on scam networks.
• Influence cross-functional teams by presenting data-based recommendations.
• Develop quantitative metrics to surface insights from structured datasets.
• Maintain a network of information sources for insights and foresight into emerging developments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience researching, investigating, and analyzing trends related to online harms.
• 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining relational databases.
• Background in conducting data analysis using large databases.
• Understanding of programming languages like Python and/or SQL.
• Experience in threat investigation/threat intelligence in a major government or technology company.
• Experience developing and delivering written and oral communications to various audiences including technical, senior leaders, and policymakers.
• Understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships across large organizations to solve complex problems.
• Experience performing social network analysis.
