About the Role

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join our UK Audit team, focusing on delivering top-quality assurance services to the organisation’s Audit Committee. The Audit function's vision is to provide high value, independent, proactive insights, innovate with technology, and be a top-notch talent destination, creating a dynamic atmosphere for both personal growth and professional opportunity. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Principal Associate (Experienced Senior Auditor) interested in becoming part of our UK-based Global Payment Network Audit team, focusing on conducting operational and compliance-related audits for our Global Payment Network business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small audits, or own completion of significant components of larger audits related to the payment network.
  • Develop engagement planning documentation for assigned areas to communicate rationale for scoping decisions, and develop audit programs to ensure adequate coverage of risks.
  • Design and execute appropriate audit procedures to verify the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Document auditee processes and procedures, review and analyze evidence, and identify potential issues.
  • Leverage available data and analytical tools during the planning and fieldwork phases of audit delivery.
  • Prepare clear, organized, and complete documentation to support work performed, including draft findings.
  • Establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with key business partners and the extended Audit group.
  • Effectively communicate information and audit progress to the team and to all levels of management.
  • Self prioritise and effectively plan your own work activities managing multiple priorities and tasks across the team to deliver quality results.
  • Proactively take on additional work to support the team when possible.
  • Provide coaching, on-the-job training, and feedback to audit staff, including junior associates and recent hires.
  • Proactively seek out learning opportunities to enhance skills and competencies related to role.
  • Occasional and optional travel to perform audit engagements, flexible to personal circumstances.

Requirements

  • Experience of risk assessment or audit in payment networks.
  • Proven history of significantly contributing to the delivery of internal or external audit.
  • Proven skills in assessing business risks and the ability to identify, design, execute risk-based testing.
  • A relentless focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Adaptability to change, embracing bold ideas, and a willingness to ask questions, test assumptions, and challenge conventional thinking.
  • Ability to develop influential relationships based upon shared risk objectives and trust to deliver outstanding business impact and elevate Audit’s value proposition.
