About the Role
As a Product Manager Installments & Payments (m/w/d), you will be responsible for a central feature of our collection portfolio: the design of our payment and installment solutions. Together with interdisciplinary teams, you will develop scalable, automated, and customer-oriented solutions that support our Human Centric Collection strategy and help people settle their liabilities fairly, transparently, and sustainably. You will combine economic goals, modern product development, and data-driven decisions into a high-performance end-to-end product that efficiently supports millions of payment processes.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Installments & Payments product, aiming to offer consumers the best payment arrangement for their situation in a simple and cost-effective way.
- Develop highly scalable and largely automated payment processes for various payment arrangements and drive the expansion of intuitive self-service solutions via digital channels.
- Continuously optimize payment journeys and reduce manual process steps in collaboration with Product Experience, Tech, and Data.
- Ensure payment solutions are suitable for different industries or debtor types by providing, documenting, training, and reviewing appropriate control variables or decision logic.
- Continuously advance payment solutions by tracking and optimizing KPIs with the interdisciplinary team, incorporating external impulses or own research.
- Future-proof payment solutions by monitoring market trends, new payment technologies, and regulatory developments, and integrating innovative approaches like new payment methods, workflow automation, or AI-driven decisions.
- Connect teams and orchestrate stakeholders by working closely with other Product Teams, Tech, Data, Operations, Legal, and customer-facing teams to ensure common priorities, transparent decisions, and aligned roadmaps.
- Create structures that enable autonomous work and continuous product development.
- Identify user and stakeholder needs, validate hypotheses, and prioritize product development based on data.
- Ensure new features deliver measurable value to consumers, operations, and the company.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Product Management with proven success in developing and scaling digital products or platforms, ideally in debt collection, FinTech, B2B SaaS, or a comparable regulated environment like Ecom Payments and Checkout.
- A strong product mindset with experience in product strategy, discovery, prioritization, and defining/using KPIs for data-driven product development.
- Experience translating complex business, economic, and regulatory requirements into intuitive and scalable product solutions, ideally in the context of payment, financial, or decision processes.
- High technical affinity and practical experience using modern automation, workflow, or AI solutions to support product development and business processes.
- Data-driven work approach and experience with data analysis, BI, or process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, Power BI, or comparable platforms) to make product decisions based on reliable insights.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams without disciplinary responsibility, aligning diverse stakeholders, and successfully managing organizational change.
