About the Role
We're looking for a mid-level UI/UX Designer to join Crossdock Studios, where we specialize in bringing 0-to-1 product ideas to life. You'll work across the full design lifecycle — from early concept and user research through wireframes, prototypes, and polished, production-ready UI — partnering closely with product managers and engineers to turn ambiguous, early-stage ideas into simple, intuitive experiences. This is a generalist role where you'll move fluidly between research, interaction design, visual design, and design systems work, depending on what the product needs at any given moment. You'll thrive here if you enjoy the challenge of designing for products that don't exist yet.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews, synthesize findings, and translate insights into actionable design decisions.
- Map user journeys and flows, build wireframes and prototypes, and iterate based on feedback and usability testing.
- Create polished, high-fidelity mockups and visual designs that are consistent, accessible, and on-brand.
- Contribute to and maintain a shared component library/design system to ensure consistency across web and mobile.
- Partner closely with PMs and engineers throughout the product lifecycle — from early concept through implementation and QA.
- Build interactive prototypes to test concepts before development investment.
- Present design rationale and decisions clearly to stakeholders, incorporating feedback from technical and non-technical partners alike.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX design for digital products (web and/or mobile).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work — research, flows, wireframes, and finished UI.
- Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and familiarity with prototyping tools.
- Solid understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive/adaptive design.
- Experience designing for complex, data-rich, or workflow-driven products (e.g., internal tools, enterprise software, dashboards) is a plus.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments — this role touches early-stage product exploration as well as refinement of existing features.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate for user needs while balancing business and technical constraints.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system is a plus.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate design work — e.g., using AI for generating mockups, building out or maintaining design systems, speeding up iteration, or exploring concepts faster and with higher quality.
- Familiarity with enterprise authentication/data architecture considerations (e.g., multi-tenant products) from a design perspective.
- Background in B2B or vertical SaaS products.
