About the Role
As an experienced SAP professional, you will shape the technological future of BEW by advancing the SAP platform and managing the external SAP operations partner. You will develop the target architecture of our hybrid SAP landscape and ensure secure, stable, and future-proof operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical control and governance for the external SAP Basis operations provider, ensuring service quality.
- Continuously develop the technical target architecture of the SAP landscape with internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan and manage technical SAP projects and transformation initiatives, focusing on SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and hybrid architectures.
- Integrate on-premises systems, cloud solutions, and SAP BTP services.
- Administer and operate central SAP BTP components, including Subaccounts, Services, Destinations, Security configurations, and Identity/Authorization concepts.
- Ensure compliance with security, compliance, and architecture standards for the SAP platform.
- Support the design and implementation of SAP authorization concepts and assist with audits and compliance requirements.
- Analyze technical issues and coordinate their resolution with service providers and business units.
- Establish and optimize operational processes, documentation, and service management structures.
- Collaborate closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Application Management, and Enterprise Architecture departments.
- Identify modernization opportunities for the SAP platform and contribute innovative technology and architecture ideas.
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent qualification.
- German language skills at C1 level and English language skills at B2 level.
- Several years of practical experience in SAP Basis and technical support of complex SAP system landscapes.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, IAS/IPS, and modern authentication and integration methods.
- Experience in planning, designing, and implementing hybrid SAP architectures.
- Good knowledge of SAP Security and authorization management.
- Experience in functionally managing external service providers.
- Understanding of IT Service Management processes (e.g., Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management).
- Structured and self-reliant work style with strong communication and coordination skills.
- Enjoy bringing together diverse stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions.
- SAP certifications in SAP Basis, SAP Technology, or SAP BTP are advantageous.
- Approximately 70% of the requirements are sufficient for application.
