About the Role
Madrina Bar y Tapas, recognized in the Michelin Guide, is seeking engaged Line Cooks and Senior Line Cooks to join their growing Back of House Team. This role is for individuals who love food, take pride in their craft, and want to contribute to a high-achieving, team-oriented kitchen that values excellence and respect.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment with caution.
- Maintain clean and organized stations.
- Follow FIFO method to maximize product freshness.
- Move food products and supplies between outlets when necessary.
- Report any equipment/utensil malfunctions/deficiencies to the Chef on duty.
- Work collaboratively with BOH team members.
- Encourage the DRC’s core beliefs and values on a daily basis.
- Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment, cooking from scratch.
- Experience in a fine dining restaurant is considered an asset.
- Must have legal permission to work in Canada.
Skills
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
- Culinary degree/diploma or equivalent through a combination of education and experience.
