About the Role
Full-time RN Manager to oversee the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Program at the new Henry Ford Behavioral Health Hospital in West Bloomfield, MI. This role assists the DON/CNO in directing, planning, and supervising nursing operations for assigned units, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of behavioral health services.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and manage changes in census and acuity, allocating nursing resources based on patient needs.
- Model customer service expectations and demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety.
- Accountable for the standard of care, providing consultations and expertise.
- Serve as a clinical and service resource to nursing and other staff.
- Manage staff activities, coordinating safe care between departments and disciplines.
- Manage and evaluate work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, service, or maintenance staff.
- Analyze information to solve problems effectively.
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff.
- Identify educational needs and develop training programs.
- Assist with the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports on program status, services, and quality initiatives.
- Perform administrative or managerial functions, including budget planning and expenditure authorization.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- ECT or procedural nursing experience required.
- Behavioral health experience required.
- Leadership experience required.
- BSN or higher strongly preferred.
- Current registered nursing license in State of facility required.
- Three years as a registered nurse strongly preferred.
- Two years of registered nursing experience required.
- Two years of prior experience as a registered nurse with the patient population of the facility is preferred.
- One year of prior experience with the population required.
- Prior experience as a house supervisor strongly preferred.
- One year of charge RN or other administrative experience required.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
