About the Role

This assignment involves working with the DevOps and Automation Manager to create and deliver the DevOps and Automation roadmap, with a strong emphasis on "Everything Ephemeral," including Agentic AI and ephemeral environments.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with IT Delivery Managers and participate in Sprint planning to identify DevOps support needs.
• Agree and prioritize project tasks with IT Delivery Managers and the DevOps and Automation Manager.
• Provide timely progress updates on project tasks through Scrum meetings or written reports.
• Develop and maintain installation, configuration, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Create knowledge articles and support artifacts for the DevOps team.
• Manage configuration, releases, and environments for multi-tier technology estates.
• Support technical deployments of databases (MSSQL), websites, services, app services, and applications on Windows and RedHat.
• Champion agentic automation by driving adoption of agentic-first automation for high levels of end-to-end automation using reusable, auditable components.
• Enable real-time business/end-user steering with human oversight and exception handling.
• Expand Automation-as-a-Service (AaaS) by building self-service automation solutions for business teams.
• Accelerate delivery using low-code platforms and reusable automation components.
• Modernize CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, and deployment orchestration.
• Integrate tools like GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, and OctopusDeploy for seamless delivery.
• Transition to self-service environment provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and pipeline-driven automation.
• Implement advanced observability and monitoring using platforms like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Provide real-time insights into system health, deployments, and business metrics.
• Embed security and compliance by design, integrating security into all SDLC stages.
• Utilize automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and policy enforcement.
• Ensure all automation and deployments are traceable and auditable for regulatory compliance.
• Promote continuous learning and innovation in emerging technologies like AI/ML Ops and cloud-native development.
• Participate in innovation sprints to generate new automation ideas and create user stories.
• Coordinate planned outages and environment refreshes with project managers and the Test Lead.
