About the Role

This role involves understanding and following instructions, cleaning work areas, identifying and discarding nonconforming materials, and performing inspections to ensure quality standards are met. You will operate various equipment and hand-assemble products, contributing to sustainable packaging solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and following instructions and completing required paperwork.
  • Cleaning around work areas.
  • Recognizing nonconforming material such as damaged or defective items.
  • Discarding scrap or defective pieces of waste into scrap containers.
  • Reading and using a standard tape measure.
  • Inspection of completed work per quality standards.
  • Logging inspection to work order if required.
  • Final inspection and tagging of product.
  • Safe and proper use of utility knife, banding tools, manual and electric pallet jack, assorted glue roll coaters, Bostitch hand stitcher, Horton stripper, hot glue guns, and other small hand tools.
  • Hand assembling cartons using HMT hot melt guns.
  • Adding/inserting parts to a box.
  • Applying tape.
  • Hand assembling corrugated and foam packs.
  • Effective rotation within jobs of same or lower level.
  • Cleaning, repairing, and refurbishing crates/boxes for re-use.
  • Safe and proper use of cordless drill, drill presses, and jib/bridge cranes.
  • Operating the Baker De-Duster.
  • Feeding and catching materials on V-Groovers, Multi Head Re-Saw, Single Head Re-saw, Morgan Chop Saw, Gang Ripper, or similar equipment.
  • Hand assembling “one-person” cartons/products with the use of hot melt guns.

  • Ability to recognize nonconforming material such as damaged or defective items.
  • Ability to read and use a standard tape measure.
  • Safe and Proper use of specified equipment.
