About the Role
We are seeking your collaboration in the PIKSL Lab of the "Warschauer Höfe inklusiv" employment and support division in Berlin Friedrichshain, starting October 1, 2026. This role supports 32 individuals with cognitive, psychological, and/or physical disabilities, nine of whom are experts in the PIKSL Lab. Responsibilities
- Support the general and digital participation of individuals with cognitive and psychological impairments.
- Assist in developing daily living skills for participants within the employment and support offerings, integrating the social environment.
- Create goal agreements and informational reports, working according to defined objectives and content.
- Maintain necessary documentation.
- Assist in ensuring order and cleanliness, involving clients in household tasks.
- Collaborate with individuals from other life areas of the clients.
- Support and foster daily living and basic care.
- Handle illness, crises, and relapses appropriately.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and supervision.
Requirements
- Completed training as a social worker, educator, or special needs educator, or a strong interest in strengthening media literacy for people with disabilities.
- Experience and a strong motivation for professionally sound interaction with people with psychological and cognitive impairments.
- Respectful and empathetic relationship building with clients.
- Acceptance of and professional handling of difficult everyday situations.
- Curiosity about the life stories of our clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in using Easy Language and Supported Communication is desirable.
- Interest in personal development, including through supervision, further training, and education.
- Submission of an extended Führungszeugnis (certificate of good conduct) is required within eight weeks of starting employment.
