About the Role
This role blends data, controls, and reporting responsibilities, working closely with Syndicate Leadership, Actuarial, Finance, and Compliance to maintain accurate underwriting data and ensure Lloyd's reporting is on track. It is ideal for individuals who excel at transforming data into insights and fostering relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. This position does not involve underwriting or claims settlement authority.
Responsibilities
- Own data quality across underwriting systems through validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks, identifying and resolving root causes of discrepancies.
- Monitor adherence to Individual Underwriting Authorities and Syndicate Premium controls, contributing results to quarterly committee presentations and assisting in evolving the control framework.
- Develop and maintain the Syndicate's PowerBI-based Underwriting MI, collaborating with the Data Management team for relevance and accuracy.
- Compile quarterly Underwriting MI packs with commentary for internal committees and governance groups.
- Coordinate with Actuarial, Finance, and Compliance to prepare and submit Non-Financial Lloyd's and Regulatory Returns, verifying outputs with senior stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and data quality improvement, documenting requirements for new processes, controls, and automation.
- Facilitate communication between underwriters, finance, claims, compliance, reserving, delegated authority, and technology teams, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and progress on issues.

- A naturally analytical mindset, comfortable pulling together and presenting data from multiple sources.
- Well organised, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines under pressure.
