About the Role

This role supports a leading hyperscale data centre company on a long-term secondment, partnering with operations, technology, and corporate services teams to provide strategic legal advice on commercial procurement, technology, and corporate services matters across the APAC & Middle East region. It involves hands-on contracting, oversight of legal and regulatory issues (privacy, cybersecurity, IP, critical infrastructure), driving strategic initiatives, developing procurement frameworks, and supporting operational expansion.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advice on commercial, procurement, and operational matters, partnering with business stakeholders.
Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and service providers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, risk-based legal solutions.
Advise on legal and regulatory matters related to technology, data, privacy, intellectual property, and cybersecurity.
Develop and enhance legal processes, contract templates, guidance materials, and training.
Identify and manage legal risk across complex projects and monitor regulatory developments.

Requirements

Admitted to practice with strong experience in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team, advising on commercial matters.
Proven ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Experience supporting commercial contracting, procurement, or technology-related matters.
Exposure to privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity, or regulatory issues is favorable.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build trusted relationships and manage multiple priorities effectively.
