About the Role
As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-level clinical support and assessment for residents, along with clinical leadership, support, and mentoring for Registered Nurses. You will utilize your clinical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to ensure high-quality clinical care and promote continual improvement.
Responsibilities
- Providing high-level clinical support and assessment for residents.
- Providing clinical leadership, support, and mentoring for Registered Nurses.
- Assisting with the provision of high-quality clinical care.
- Leading, inspiring, and educating care professionals to promote continual improvement of clinical care.
- Specializing in a clinical area such as palliative and dementia care.
- Providing a high level of general clinical expertise.
- Making a genuine difference in the lives of residents by providing compassionate and respectful care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years of experience.
- Clinical leadership in an Aged Care setting.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning principles.
- Understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and values.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.
- Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check or provide current NDIS Worker screening clearance.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a specialised clinical area (desirable).
- Weekend work may be required.
- Completion of prescribed mandatory training and annual appraisal development processes.
- Additional tasks may be required based on qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Successful applications will be subject to a variety of background checks including police background check via our online police check system.
