About the Role

As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-level clinical support and assessment for residents, along with clinical leadership, support, and mentoring for Registered Nurses. You will utilize your clinical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to ensure high-quality clinical care and promote continual improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-level clinical support and assessment for residents.
  • Providing clinical leadership, support, and mentoring for Registered Nurses.
  • Assisting with the provision of high-quality clinical care.
  • Leading, inspiring, and educating care professionals to promote continual improvement of clinical care.
  • Specializing in a clinical area such as palliative and dementia care.
  • Providing a high level of general clinical expertise.
  • Making a genuine difference in the lives of residents by providing compassionate and respectful care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years of experience.
  • Clinical leadership in an Aged Care setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning principles.
  • Understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and values.
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.
  • Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check or provide current NDIS Worker screening clearance.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a specialised clinical area (desirable).
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Completion of prescribed mandatory training and annual appraisal development processes.
  • Additional tasks may be required based on qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Successful applications will be subject to a variety of background checks including police background check via our online police check system.
