About the Role

This role is responsible for generating new client acquisition through accredited commercial brokers across Australia Commercial. It involves onboarding and managing commercial brokers, and educating them on ANZ’s products and processes. Banking is evolving, and ANZ offers great opportunities for employees to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering commercial settlements from accredited brokers across commercial lending and asset finance
  • Accrediting new brokers, and ongoing management of portfolios of brokers
  • Lifting broker satisfaction and internal satisfaction from key internal stakeholders (e.g., Bankers & sales leaders)
  • Maintaining calling rates on Brokers/Referrers/Districts/Aggregators
  • Improving the percentage of brokers referring business to ANZ, and increasing the volume of transactions from brokers
  • Ensuring well-managed accreditation and commission processes
  • Instilling a customer-centric approach to business
  • Coaching bankers and sharing best practices around broker engagement activities
  • Educating and upskilling brokers on ANZ appetite and structuring commercial transactions

Requirements

  • Business Development: Partnering with individuals and/or organizations to pursue strategic initiatives, relationships, and opportunities to drive commercial value.
  • Relationship Management: Building, maintaining, and influencing relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Commercial acumen: Knowledge of Commercial banking and the Commercial broker industry.
  • Customer Solutioning: Understanding customer needs and informing them about relevant products or services, or providing considered options that meet those needs.
  • Credit assessment and management: Assessing, advising, and monitoring a customer's credit worthiness, credit risk, and suitable credit structuring options based on internal credit policies, guidelines, scoring models, and/or applying judgment based on prior experience and knowledge.
  • Influencing: The ability to gain the commitment of others through a range of techniques.
  • Stakeholder management: Identifying, understanding, and anticipating the needs of those who can affect or be affected by your work to gain commitment.
  • Planning and Prioritisation: Planning and prioritizing tasks, including people, process, and technology implications, to deliver upon customer/user needs and strategic priorities. This includes identifying, planning for, tracking, and resolving dependencies.
  • Non-Financial Risk: A clear understanding of risk requirements, including non-financial risk obligations, conduct risk, and well-managed sales businesses, broker onboarding, and managing offboarding brokers as per ANZ and industry standards.
