About the Role

The Senior Strategy Lead will run strategic projects end-to-end, acting as an "athlete" role rather than a specialist. This is the first senior hire into the Business Acceleration & Strategic Initiatives function, offering an opportunity to shape the strategic agenda and operating model of a high-visibility team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic projects end-to-end: framing the problem, designing the workplan, driving analysis, synthesizing findings, and delivering executive-ready communication
  • Collaborate broadly across S&P DJI and the wider S&P Global organization, working with senior stakeholders to move initiatives forward
  • Co-build the team's operating model, including contributing to the design and deployment of agentic tooling as a standing analytical capability
  • Operate hands-on in a lean team structure; execute the work yourself, not just direct others

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of full-time professional experience, including 2–3 years post-MBA
  • Current or recent tenure as an Engagement Manager / Case Team Leader (or equivalent) at a top-tier strategy consultancy: McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or comparable
  • Substantial engagement experience in financial services, financial data, asset management, or capital markets
  • Direct experience leading client-facing engagements end-to-end: scoping, workplan design, analysis, recommendation development, and executive presentation
  • Comfort operating with autonomy in a lean team where senior people execute the work

Skills

  • Exceptional problem-structuring, analytical, and executive communication skills
  • Demonstrated AI-native orientation — with specific examples of using AI tools to change how you work, not just what you produce
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling capability (a plus)
  • Pre-MBA banking experience is a nice-to-have

Experience Level

  • 5-8 years of experience
  • 2-3 years post-MBA experience

Education Level

  • MBA

Salary/Compensations

  • $190,000 to $230,000

Benefits

  • Eligible for an annual incentive plan
  • Eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits
  • Health & Wellness: Health care coverage designed for the mind and body.
  • Flexible Downtime: Generous time off helps keep you energized for your time on.
  • Continuous Learning: Access a wealth of resources to grow your career and learn valuable new skills.
  • Invest in Your Future: Secure your financial future through competitive pay, retirement planning, a continuing education program with a company-matched student loan contribution, and financial wellness programs.
  • Family Friendly Perks: Best-in class benefits for families.
  • Beyond the Basics: From retail discounts to referral incentive awards
