About the Role
The Client Service Specialist is responsible for performing routine branch and customer service duties, processing deposits, loan payments, and cashing checks. This role serves as the primary liaison for customers requiring research and follow-up, identifying client needs, and generating sales leads for additional service/product opportunities. It requires premier servicing skills and excellent oral and written communication.
Responsibilities
- Resolve client-based inquiries and concerns, including statement reconciliation, card re-pins, card lockouts, balance inquiries, and error corrections.
- Perform clerical duties.
- Order products and set up services for clients.
- Assist manager(s) and/or Relationship Manager in operational duties, including external business meetings at client’s office.
- Attend external events and expos.
- Complete other related tasks and projects as directed by management.
Requirements
- 1+ years of customer service experience in a bank environment.
- Strong ability to understand risk.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and the financial institution.
- Communicate regularly with clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Document all client interactions and maintain accurate records.
- Stay updated on bank policies, financial trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other bank staff to ensure excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work branch hours.
- Driven by a passion and curiosity to continuously learn how various technological systems, including AI, can enhance the work that you do.
