About the Role
As a Manager within the Data Analytics & Emerging Technology team at KPMG, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of technology support within our Audit and Assurance services. You will utilise advanced data analytics tools, hone analytical abilities, mentor junior team members, manage a diverse portfolio of engagements, and influence the audit process by testing and deploying sophisticated Data and Analytics tools.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an engagement manager and subject matter expert in data analytics projects, ensuring high-quality, budget-compliant services.
- Facilitate stakeholder management through open communication, expectation management, and serving as an escalation contact.
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives, advocate for innovative processes, and ensure compliance with independence requirements.
- Provide performance management, feedback, and guidance, fostering a skilled team environment.
- Champion diversity and inclusion, manage onboarding, foster client and team relationships, and coach junior members.
- Add value to clients through specialist expertise and contribute to the firm’s knowledge-sharing culture.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with tools including Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies and AI-powered solutions for processing, analysing, and deriving insights from large datasets.
- Proven leadership, project management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Firm grasp of people management and client relationship maintenance.
- Committed towards enhancing audit quality and driving innovation.
- Highly organised and efficient, with an initiative-taking, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Willing to engage in continuous learning to build upon professional skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and autonomously when needed.
- Genuine interest in technology and innovation.
