About the Role
The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience with preparing journal entries, support documentation, analyzing and reconciling GL Accounts. The intern will receive exposure and experience using our SAP (ERP) system and will be exposed to our financial close processes and internal and external audit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of journal entries and maintenance of proper supporting documentation.
- Assist the accounting team with monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.
- Assist with bank and other balance sheet reconciliation processes.
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
- Assist with preparation of government surveys and annual reports.
- Assist with ordering of deposit slips for stores.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Accounting or Finance.
Skills
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Planning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
- Ability to manage deadlines.
