About the Role

The NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office is seeking motivated First Nations law graduates for a two-year rotational Graduate Development Program. Participants will gain experience across three legal practice groups, developing skills in advice writing, litigation, and transactional work while working toward becoming trusted legal advisors for the NSW Government.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a two-year rotational program across three legal practice groups
  • Conduct assigned legal matters
  • Assist senior solicitors in the conduct of legal matters including advice, transactions, and litigation
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and ethics
  • Engage with sensitive and potentially distressing materials with professionalism and discretion

Requirements

  • Completion of a law degree and practical legal training by January 2027
  • Admission as a legal practitioner in NSW prior to program commencement
  • Eligibility to hold a NSW practising certificate
  • Must identify as First Nations
  • Ability to manage stress and maintain emotional resilience when handling sensitive content
