About the Role

As a Configuration Management professional, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of configuration data and baselines across the ACS CLCM. You will support the planning and execution of Physical and Functional Configuration Audits (PCA/FCA), conduct configuration compliance activities, and provide Configuration Status Accounting services to stakeholders. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, manages responses to external audits and corrective actions, and promotes professional development through ongoing skills growth and best-practice adoption.

Responsibilities

Actively assist the Configuration Team and other stakeholders under broad direction and in consultation with the Configuration and Data Manager.
Execute day-to-day activities in accordance with the Configuration Management & Audit Plan.
Liaise closely with the Engineering Team, Ship Leads and Waterfront Engineers responsible for the ACS CLCM to ensure compliance to the Configuration Management & Audit Plan.
Independently apply Configuration Management techniques in the context of Systems Engineering on Navy Maritime Assets.
Make decisions on Configuration change.
Represent the team in Configuration Control Boards.
Safeguard the health, safety and welfare of those within the organisation.

Requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering role (preferably within the Defence industry).
Experience in CMT-U, AMPS & Stock Control and Planned Maintenance (SCPM).
Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.
Experience in the Department of Defence.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
Compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
