Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide psychotherapy and medication management as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Participate in case management and treatment planning meetings
- Stay current with developments in psychiatric treatment and practices
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in New York
- Previous experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred
- Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Knowledge of current best practices in psychiatric medicine
- Must be board-certified
