About the Role
Carecor is seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Workers to join their team in Scarborough Transitional Care Units. This role involves performing floor and observational care duties to promote patient well-being during 8-12 hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform floor and observational care duties.
- Help create an environment that promotes optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients.
Requirements
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or enrolled in a Nursing pathway program or a Nursing student
- Clinical experience as a PSW within the past 2 years or at least 1 year in Hospital/LTC clinical placement completed in nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and N95 Mast Fit Test Certificate
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV), Hepatitis B, and Tdap/Td
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
- Required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination prior to start date.
Skills
- CPI Certification (Crisis Prevention & Intervention Training Certificate)
- Experience working in a Mental Health Unit
