About the Role

The Golden State Warriors are seeking a Specialist to manage internal communications, collaborating with various departments on core initiatives and messaging. This role reports to the Manager, Inclusion & Internal Communications and offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing sports and entertainment organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the proposal and development of communications plans and strategies.
  • Manage the daily flow of communications requests to ensure timely dissemination of critical information.
  • Maintain multi-channel communications across platforms like Slack, Outlook, and intranet.
  • Develop communications plans to enhance the team member experience.
  • Ensure all communications align with the Warriors' corporate brand identity and strategic direction.
  • Assist in developing and executing communications and change management plans for corporate initiatives and employee programs.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to streamline targeted communications effectively.
  • Assist in implementing the company's employment brand in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Workplace Experience.
  • Write, edit, and distribute communications including newsletters, calendars, intranet copy, and LinkedIn posts.
  • Assist with the execution of Town Halls and periodic external speakers' series.
  • Manage the approval process for speaking opportunities and assist in team member preparation.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training on presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Communications/Media Relations, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of public relations/media relations experience.
  • Experience with internal communications and events, providing strategic counsel and tactical excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace, Adobe Suite, and Canva.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools and workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, service, and resolution skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with partners and peers at all levels.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through change.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
