About the Role

Serve as the architect of future-state planning for the North America (NA) market, optimizing supply chain and fulfillment operations. Implement long-term strategies aligned with business objectives, working closely with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer value. This Individual Contributor role leads two major transformations: implementing a formal Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process in the US and leading the improvement of the existing S&OP process in Canada, while acting as the key NA Planning representative for a global transition to an Advanced Planning System.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of a structured monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the US market.
  • Facilitate monthly review meetings, identifying misalignments between demand and supply, and owning the escalation process for senior leadership decisions.
  • Own the long-term view (16–52 weeks) of end-to-end plans, collaborating with counterparts to assess risks and ensure infrastructure supports initiatives like 'Project 500' and 'Infinite Choice'.
  • Establish a framework for alignment on long-term network strategy across both markets, from volume allocation to distribution center perspective.
  • Identify risks and opportunities associated with evolving box count and site performance.
  • Act as the primary cross-functional liaison to identify and resolve long-range constraints.
  • Translate planning strategies into P&L impacts, quantifying effects on inventory, cost, and service levels.
  • Partner with global Planning counterparts to adapt best practices for NA and foster a unified North American planning culture.
  • Define and track success metrics for long-term planning accuracy, including inventory health, capacity utilization, and forecast stability.
  • Help define detailed business requirements for planning tooling strategy, participate in vendor evaluations, and draft business cases for moving to an automated Planning System.

Requirements

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to solve future structural problems.
  • Strong data-driven and analytical skills to critically analyze complex problems.
  • Effective communication skills to distill complex supply chain risks into clear decision points for executives.
  • Comfortable driving process adoption in an environment transitioning to integrated planning.
  • Self-driven with the ability to drive tasks to completion end-to-end.
  • Understanding of planning system architectures (APS/ERP) and capacity constraints.
  • 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, S&OP, Network / Operations Strategy, or related positions.
  • Strong experience facilitating S&OP / IBP cycles, including executive presentations and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills for data gathering, analysis, visualization, and presentation.
  • Experience implementing, managing, or working with Advanced Planning Systems (APS) and managing 'build vs. buy' decisions.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with preference for automation skills.
  • Ability to work as an Individual Contributor who leads through influence across cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities for technical and non-technical situations.
  • Possible exposure to common allergens (e.g., peanuts, tree nuts, milk) in a food company environment.
