About the Role
This role focuses on ensuring the creation and management of infrastructure, including operational stability, performance, and cost-efficiency of cloud-hosted data infrastructures for both internal and external users. Responsibilities
- Build and support scalable cloud infrastructure leveraging Azure and AWS environments.
- Support the cloud environment, including troubleshooting issues related to cloud PAAS resources, cloud networking, and cloud infrastructure.
- Partner with product, data operations, and technical leadership to align engineering activities with company goals.
- Set up and manage effective observability solutions for data and platform services.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Product Engineers, and SREs to build and support experimentation platforms, training frameworks, and associated tools.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance practices, including managing identity and access management (IAM) roles, encryption, auditing, and logging protocols.
- Manage significant system upgrades, enhancements, migrations, and integrations.
- Oversee the release of new software to QA, production, and disaster recovery environments.
- Maintain system compliance with regulatory controls such as SOX, PCI, IT General Controls, and other required security frameworks.
- Advocate, train, and provide technical support on new technologies related to AI/ML and data infrastructure.
- Take a significant role in the development of team members to support engagement, growth, and achievement of goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; OR demonstrated capability with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience.
- Three (3) years of experience building and supporting cloud infrastructure using best practices from the ground up.
- Ability to write high-quality code in Python.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Helm.
- Experience with relational and low-latency databases.
- Solid understanding of data lake strategies.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and networking concepts with experience in troubleshooting related issues.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support as scheduled and be available to respond to business-critical issues.
- Ability to work flexible hours in response to emergencies.
- Available for overnight travel (10%).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
- Authorization to work in the US is required.
