About the Role

Provide quality services and expertise on issues ranging from program design to intervention with individual students within the scope of professional training and licensure. Support the social/emotional growth of students by linking child-serving and community agencies to schools and families to support academic, emotional, behavioral, and social success.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the internal student support services referral system, including basic needs to crisis response.
• Add relevant stakeholders and assign referrals to internal staff members.
• Lead regional crisis response teams in collaboration with administration, staff, and community providers.
• Assess student social emotional needs and refer to community resources or provide short-term support.
• Participate in the planning, coordination, implementation, and delivery of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programming.
• Assume leadership roles within the region and the school.
• Educate school personnel on the impact of trauma through professional development and problem-solving meetings.
• Provide training and consultation to enhance others’ practices related to social emotional needs.
• Establish partnerships with community agencies/providers and share resources with students, families, and staff.
• Engage in internal and external professional education, supervision, continuing education, and peer consultation.
• Contribute to the development of the school social work profession.
• Establish professional relationships with school personnel for multidisciplinary collaboration and consultation.
• Monitor, maintain, and utilize GOAL social emotional data tools to identify and communicate student needs.
• Effectively communicate the uniqueness of GOAL High School and its students regarding social emotional needs.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Participate and/or collaborate as a member of the IEP team.
• Provide direct service hours via IEP.
• Actively and enthusiastically recruit new students through community partnerships and events.

Requirements

• Must reside in Colorado.
• Must possess a Colorado Driver's License.
• Two years’ experience in a student support services role within a secondary school setting.
• Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Love for children and ability to work enthusiastically on their behalf.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledgeable and comfortable working with technology.
• Able to competently and persistently apply problem-solving skills towards technology issues.
• Proven ability to serve on teams and participate in collaborative decision-making.
• Strong work ethic to achieve both school and personal goals.
• Willingness to travel regionally and transport students as required.
• Ethical, honest, and good-humored.
• Must work all scheduled calendar days in Colorado.

• $51,500.00 - $68,000.00 Salary/year
