About the Role
Rillet is an AI-native ERP that can drive a zero-day close. We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Platform to own the architecture, infrastructure, and developer tooling that every engineer at Rillet depends on. You will be responsible for developer experience, observability, operational efficiency, and core infrastructure, enabling the company to scale quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, infrastructure, and developer tooling that every engineer at Rillet depends on.
- Build and champion the internal tooling and developer experience that makes engineers at Rillet faster than engineers anywhere else.
- Set technical direction for how we build reliability, security, and compliance into our systems from the ground up.
- Hire and develop high-caliber platform engineers across a growing surface area.
- Establish the culture and craft standards that define great platform work at Rillet.
- Partner with engineering leadership to define roadmap priorities.
- Translate ambiguous problems into clear technical plans.
Requirements
- 4+ years managing platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling teams at high-growth tech companies.
- 6+ years in engineering overall.
- Background as a backend engineer who moved into platform work.
- Deep experience with observability tooling, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Track record of improving developer experience in measurable, concrete ways.
- Comfortable driving technical direction across teams without relying on direct authority.
- Startup experience at a similar stage, or IC experience at a smaller company before managing at a larger one.
- Experience owning and scaling public-facing APIs (Bonus).
- Familiarity with enterprise readiness (SOC 2, SSO/SAML, audit logging, or similar) (Bonus).
- Background in fintech, ERP, or accounting software (Bonus).
- Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript experience (Bonus).
