About the Role

Join a small, cross-functional team to build next-generation products from the ground up. This 0-to-1 role involves partnering with product managers, engineers, and leadership to transform complex, ambiguous problems into intuitive solutions while helping shape the design culture at Timely.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product management to decompose problems, evaluate options, and define design solutions.
  • Lead product discovery through customer interviews, workshops, and collaborative ideation.
  • Conceptualize and design intuitive user flows and information architecture for complex administrative workflows.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure design feasibility within technical constraints.
  • Contribute to and support the design system to ensure a cohesive platform experience.
  • Conduct user interviews and usability testing to uncover insights and validate assumptions.
  • Prototype and validate ideas rapidly before full development cycles.

Requirements

  • Experience in Product Design or Design Engineering in a B2B SaaS or adjacent environment.
  • Strong design thinking, facilitation, and user research skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise using design tools like Figma.
  • Experience contributing to design systems alongside engineering teams.
  • Understanding of basic front-end development principles.
  • Comfortable using AI in daily workflows for ideation, prototyping, and validation.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and define solutions for loosely defined problems.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and alignment skills.
  • Systems thinking mindset focused on consistency and scalability.
