About the Role
This role involves managing complex placements, developing client relationships, and contributing to the strategic direction of our global International Casualty Direct & Facultative (D&F) offering. You will collaborate with clients, underwriters, and colleagues internationally to deliver innovative placement solutions and support business development.
Responsibilities
- Build a strong understanding of clients' businesses, risk profiles, and insurance requirements to deliver tailored placement solutions.
- Develop and execute effective placement strategies by identifying appropriate markets and negotiating with insurers and reinsurers.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of client presentations, programme structures, pricing models, and placement documentation.
- Work closely with Account Executives and Sales teams to structure competitive and profitable solutions.
- Identify opportunities to retain, grow, and develop existing client relationships while supporting new business initiatives.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, contribute to business development activity, and support responses to new business opportunities and RFPs.
- Collaborate with colleagues across specialist teams to deliver technical expertise and cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure all placements and documentation comply with regulatory requirements, internal governance, and contract certainty standards.
- Maintain accurate records across relevant systems and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Keep up to date with market developments, products, and industry trends to provide expert advice to clients.
Requirements
- Experience in International Casualty Direct & Facultative (D&F) is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex placements.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Experience in developing and executing placement strategies.
- Familiarity with market identification and negotiation with insurers and reinsurers.
- Ability to support the preparation of client presentations and documentation.
- Experience working with Account Executives and Sales teams.
- Skills in identifying opportunities for client retention and growth.
- Experience in maintaining a prospect pipeline and supporting new business initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with specialist teams for technical expertise.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, internal governance, and contract certainty standards.
