About the Role
Join a team dedicated to designing the grid of the future by conducting computer modeling and analysis for transmission planning studies, including steady state, short circuit, and dynamic stability analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform power system impact studies including Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.
- Conduct NERC-compliance-related technical analyses such as TPL Annual Planning Assessments.
- Execute full generator interconnection studies including Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) studies.
- Ensure renewable and storage resource projects meet Voltage Ride-Through (VRT) requirements.
- Prepare technical study reports and maintain necessary data.
- Manage assigned projects to ensure timely completion within quality and budget objectives.
- Identify and communicate training needs to the Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis in Power Systems preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a power systems engineer performing impact studies.
- Proven team player with ability to build internal and external relationships.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Flexible with the ability to manage change.
- High standards for producing quality reports.
- Strong technical report writing skills.
