About the Role
We are building a Large Physics foundation Model (LPM) to achieve general causal intelligence, capable of predicting the future and identifying actions to alter it. Your mission is to build the central evaluation framework that the entire research organization runs on, including pipelines, metrics, and tools to turn results into shared understanding.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a central, reusable evaluation framework for all models and teams.
- Implement evaluation pipelines, benchmark suites, and baselines for measurable model quality.
- Build visualization and dashboard tools for shared, actionable understanding of raw results.
- Establish sound statistical methodology for evaluations to distinguish real improvements from noise.
- Partner with research and domain teams to translate 'good' into standardized, automated metrics.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills.
- Experience building data or evaluation pipelines at scale.
- Experience turning research or model outputs into reliable metrics, benchmarks, and visualizations.
- Solid grasp of probability and statistics with the judgment to design effective evaluations.
- Full-stack range: comfortable building backend pipelines and frontend tools.
- Ability to own deliverables end-to-end, from requirements gathering to execution.

About the Company
- Our mission is general causal intelligence; AI that is capable of (1) predicting the future and (2) identifying the actions to alter it.
- We are building a Large Physics foundation Model (LPM) because physical systems, unlike text or images, are governed by verifiable cause and effect.
- We believe that scaling on physics will enable an understanding of causality required to predict and control physical systems, starting with weather.
- Our founding team has built and deployed AI against the physical world in robotics, drug discovery, and particle physics at institutions like DeepMind, Waymo, Cruise, Insitro, Nabla Bio, and CERN.
