About the Role
We are seeking a versatile operator to help build the company behind our mission of achieving general causal intelligence through a Large Physics foundation Model. This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy role focused on tackling the company's most important problems, acting as a force multiplier for the founders by providing structure, analysis, and execution across various strategic and operational areas.
Responsibilities
- Drive high-priority strategic and operational initiatives end to end across the company.
- Build the operational, financial, and analytical infrastructure that lets the company scale, including planning, metrics, systems, and reporting.
- Own special projects, from fundraising and finance support to internal operations and vendor management.
- Bring structure, data, and clear thinking to the company's most important decisions.
- Take whole problems off the founders' plates and own them to resolution.
Requirements
- Relentless approach to problem-solving, rapid execution, and the ability to quickly learn in unfamiliar domains.
- Experience in strategy, operations, consulting, finance, or an early-stage founder or operator role.
- Exceptional analytical and structured-thinking skills, and comfort with ambiguous, open-ended problems.
- A strong bias to action and a track record of owning and delivering complex projects.
- Excellent communication and the ability to work across every function of a company.
- High autonomy and sound judgment operating without a playbook.
About the Company
- Our mission is general causal intelligence; AI that is capable of (1) predicting the future and (2) identifying the actions to alter it.
- We are building a Large Physics foundation Model (LPM) because physical systems, unlike text or images, are governed by verifiable cause and effect.
- We believe that scaling on physics will enable an understanding of causality required to predict and control physical systems, starting with weather.
- Our founding team has built and deployed AI against the physical world in robotics, drug discovery, and particle physics at institutions like DeepMind, Waymo, Cruise, Insitro, Nabla Bio, and CERN.
