About the Role
The Pairing Analyst is responsible for creating and analyzing monthly pairings packages for fleet types and positions, working with various stakeholders to improve efficiency while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize monthly crew pairings using pairing optimization software, adhering to commercial schedules, company policies, and Canadian Aviation Regulations.
- Create and present reports identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost savings to management.
- Track and maintain hotel cost comparisons for different pairing options.
- Liaise with Crew Optimization Analyst to prepare and analyze reports comparing planned vs. completed pairings.
- Suggest and implement changes to the pairing optimizer to enhance pairing output.
- Analyze various scenarios for impacts on operational efficiency, credit ratios, and training.
- Review staffing plans with management to strategize and determine optimal pairing distribution.
- Compile monthly data sets and recommend enhancements for efficiency.
- Assist with reports for annual budget planning.
- Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS), reporting hazards and incidents, and promoting the Company Safety Policy.
- Assist with other assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in aviation planning, crew management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with pairing optimization software, preferably S3RUS, and familiarity with crew management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex logistics and scheduling tasks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with multiple departments and levels of management.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and crew satisfaction.
