About the Role
Modo Energy is seeking an individual to be the public face of its US market intelligence, transforming data into industry-read analysis and becoming a reference point for the US battery storage market. This is a build role within the marketing team, reporting to the Director of Marketing, with close collaboration with research analysts and media teams.
Responsibilities
- Publish weekly analysis on US battery storage and power markets.
- Own a flagship newsletter on the Modo platform.
- Represent Modo at 12+ industry events in year one.
- Deliver talks at industry events.
- Front US video, podcast, and webinar output.
- Become a go-to source for journalists seeking storage quotes.
- Join strategic customer conversations to provide market credibility.
- Generate measurable demand through content.
- Work with Americas research analysts to ground analysis in Modo data.
- Make Modo's US research famous.
Requirements
- 5–8 years working in or on US power markets, with depth in battery storage.
- Fluency in at least two ISO/RTO markets, including market design, ancillary services, and revenue dynamics.
- A public track record (links to talks and published analysis required).
- Proven ability to turn complex data into narrative for non-experts.
- Polished, confident communicator on stage, on camera, and in writing.
- Based in or relocating to New York.
