About the Role
Eagle Star Housing is seeking a Driver to provide transportation for residents in a Permanent Supportive Housing program. This role involves driving residents to appointments, employment, and other necessary locations, coordinating with the Housing Director and Assistant Case Manager, and maintaining a positive and compassionate attitude.
Responsibilities
- Transporting residents to necessary locations depending on their needs.
- Respects and maintains resident confidentiality and demonstrates a positive and caring attitude toward all residents and staff.
- Practices and promotes positive peer and resident relations.
- Maintains clear communications with the Housing Director regarding house needs and incidents.
- Maintains a continuous physical presence within the program during working hours and responds to request for assistance.
- Maintains positive and collaborative relationship with leasing agent.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Assists with implementation of policies and programs.
- Identifies and promptly addresses unsafe practices and other safety issues in the program.
- Attends staff meetings and other meetings as required by supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- An unrestricted license is mandatory.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions as necessary.
- Must have a working knowledge of computer technology.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
