About the Role

Longhorn Village is seeking a Janitor with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of resident facilities. This role requires a genuine interest in geriatric care and the ability to motivate while fostering positive relationships with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and periodic cleaning of common or non-residential areas including corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, and utility rooms.
• Conducts floor care tasks such as vacuuming, extracting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, and spotting.
• Manages trash removal from facilities and polices grounds for litter.
• Cleans elevators, performs high and low dusting, and cleans walls and other assigned surfaces.
• Washes windows and provides resident assistance with baggage.
• Cleans resident carpets and may assist housekeepers in resident homes.
• Supports cleanup efforts for leaks, spills, floods, and fires.
• Maintains work area and ensures department compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Demonstrates community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates, and vendors.
• Assists with move-in preparation and moving furniture, appliances, and other necessary items.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
