About the Role

SimpleClosure is building the infrastructure to streamline the business dissolution process and has developed an Asset Hub to help companies sell remaining assets. Joining the Asset Hub team means defining a new category, working on complex problems, and building products that guide founders through consequential moments.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow buyer-side relationships across frontier labs, RL environment builders, data and evaluation vendors, labeling firms, and enterprise AI teams.
• Originate new demand by identifying organizations needing specific assets and opening doors.
• Structure and negotiate commercial terms, including licensing structures, exclusivity, rights, and pricing.
• Act as the voice of the buyer internally, translating needs to product, supply, and engineering teams.
• Stay ahead of market trends in AI training methods and data needs to shape commercial strategy.
• Represent AssetHub credibly with senior technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Build repeatable playbooks and infrastructure for scaling buyer-side partnerships.

Requirements

• Deep, current knowledge of the AI data and model-training ecosystem.
• Experience at an AI lab, RL environment or data/evaluation company, or in a related commercial function.
• Proven track record of originating and closing complex, high-value partnerships or commercial deals.
• Comfort structuring and negotiating licensing and commercial terms with legal counsel.
• Ability to earn credibility with researchers and technical buyers.
• Existing network across labs, RLE/data companies, or the broader AI ecosystem is a strong plus.
• Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building a fast-moving business.
• Senior operator with typically 7+ years in BD, partnerships, or commercial roles, with significant experience in or adjacent to the AI/ML ecosystem.
• Must be based in or willing to work hybrid from the Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York metro.
