About the Role
Lead supplier quality development activities for fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) and related commodities. Collaborate with industrial and design teams to ensure robust quality standards at industrial sites. Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Travel 40-60% of the time to supplier sites, ensuring on-site quality and compliance. Support pre-screening and interview processes by identifying key technical and process requirements. You will be the bridge between suppliers and Alstom’s engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier quality development activities for fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) and related commodities.
- Collaborate with industrial and design teams to ensure robust quality standards at industrial sites.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Travel 40-60% of the time to supplier sites, ensuring on-site quality and compliance.
- Support pre-screening and interview processes by identifying key technical and process requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in materials, mechanical, or industrial engineering with strong knowledge of FRP processes.
- 5-10 years of experience in supplier quality, materials, or mechanical engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience in metrology, quality inspection, GD&T, 3D CAD (CATIA/NX/Creo/SolidWorks), PFMEA, Control Plans, FAI, MSA, GR&R, SPC, and FRP composite inspection/process methodologies.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, drive issues from start to finish, and demonstrate self-accountability.
- Strong team collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel 40-60% of the time to supplier sites (North America).
