About the Role

Our growing team is looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE). At Intact, we see agility as a pragmatic way of thinking and working. This position is first and foremost a Release Train Engineer role, focusing on ensuring value is delivered smoothly, predictably, and aligned with strategic objectives. Your SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification will enable you to help embed and evolve SAFe, specifically on the scaled delivery dimension within IT.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events, including PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Ensure synchronization across agile teams and stakeholders, managing friction and aligning divergent interests.
  • Identify and help resolve upstream blockers and dependencies by visualizing the end-to-end value stream.
  • Optimize value flow in service of objectives, ensuring delivery supports discovery and product goals.
  • Collect and communicate train-level progress, quality, and predictability metrics.
  • Coach Scrum Masters and teams to strengthen their execution effectiveness.
  • Define and evolve SAFe delivery-related standards to ensure consistency while respecting team autonomy.
  • Lead improvement initiatives on the delivery dimension and foster a culture of excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), Solution Train Engineer (STE), or experienced Agile Coach in a scaled SAFe environment.
  • Experience in a transformation toward a product operating model is a major asset.
  • Strong understanding of Lean-Agile principles and ability to translate them into concrete actions.
  • Excellent ability to manage complexity, demonstrate diplomacy, and influence without formal authority.
  • Practice active listening and empathy to build a trusted environment.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Skills

  • SAFe RTE certification required
  • Active SAFe SPC certification is a strong asset
  • Advanced experience with the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence)
  • Interest in using AI is a plus

Salary/Compensations

  • 118,700 - 145,100
  • 15% annual bonus target with potential payout of up to double the target
