About the Role

Jabil is seeking a Server Platform Engineer to contribute to the growth within our Enterprise and Infrastructure division by developing innovative server solutions for customers. This role involves end-to-end definition, development, and validation of server and rack-level solutions, requiring close collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure optimal performance and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customer solutions focusing on application, storage, and networking performance.
  • Perform system assembly, system-level validation, and debug of server platforms.
  • Own end-to-end customer escalation management, including issue triage, root cause analysis, supplier coordination, and critical bug resolution.
  • Lead maintenance release activities, including technology transitions, supply continuity, and implementation of approved design updates.
  • Engage directly with customers and partners to understand business needs and demonstrate Jabil’s solution capabilities.
  • Drive pre-sales technical activities to identify and enable new design opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of development efforts for new and sustaining products.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Deliver technical presentations, training, and updates to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Design and develop customer sample systems and define activities for transition to mass production.
  • Provide onsite and ongoing customer support, including issue resolution and technical guidance.
  • Manage and track firmware, BIOS, and BMC updates throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and tools to drive innovation.
  • Support global customer engagement, including up to 10% domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • BSEE, BSCS or equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% both domestic and international.

Skills

  • Exposure to architecture, design and configuration and deployment of server, storage and networking systems.
  • Working knowledge of server products including embedded remote management standards, interfaces and applications.
  • Expertise into all aspects of server and storage system performance, including raw, synthetic and application proxy workloads, performance analysis, debug and optimization from the device to the application level.
  • Facilitation of test results databases and visualization technologies.
  • Expertise with Linux operating systems, related applications and script development.
  • Manufacturing, Factory and Assembly experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments is preferred.
