About the Role
This role performs risk assessments for all available products and assists lower-level underwriters with complex cases, developing expertise in more complex policies.
Responsibilities
- Participates in rate-making meetings and discussions with product/pricing, field management, and marketing to share insights and observed trends.
- Shares observed trends and individual input, advocating for desired pricing.
- Handles multiple contracts of increasing complexity, demonstrating intermediate to proficient application of general personal lines and first-level commercial lines.
- Works within significant gray areas involving multiple rating mechanisms, coverage options, and eligibility evaluations.
- Monitors agent performance, addressing issues or recognizing achievements independently.
- Visits the field at least once per year to interact with field members and clients.
- Works with agents to resolve field processing errors.
- Presents content to agencies in person or electronically.
Requirements
- Associate degree.
- Two to four years of experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others to exchange information.
- Receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.
- Physical presence in company office required.
- Individual Contributor role.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
